As you are aware, we are currently working on Titirangi Road to replace the Huia no.1 watermain.
The Watercare contractor, March Cato, is moving fast with the pipeline installation and are now approaching the intersection with Highland Avenue. Wednesday evening, 26 January traffic management was installed at the intersection which will be one-lane with stop/go signals in place for work starting this Thursday.
Note: The section along Titirangi Road (from West Lynn Road to Highland Avenue) remains closed at this stage. Traffic is advised to take other detour routes where possible such as Atkinson Road and Godley Road.
Watercare are currently still working on the chamber at Golf Road intersection which requires a full road closure. They are hoping to open the road to one-way as soon as possible once the chamber is complete approximately 14 February. They will then be trenching a smaller pipeline along Titirangi Road between Golf Road and Pleasant Road intersections. Watch the website we will let you know when the WRRA is notified any changes are made to the traffic management on Titirangi Road works.
