Cutest Pet Competition

The Cutest Pet Competition of the Year is Back Get ready, Waiatarua—our most adorable annual tradition has returned! The 3rd Annual Waiatarua Cutest Pets Competition is now officially open for entries, and we can’t wait to see your furry, feathery, or scaly friends in the spotlight. This online competition has become a real favourite in our community, bringing smiles to faces of all ages. Whether it’s a photogenic pup, a sleepy- eyed cat, a curious lizard, or a pair of bunny besties—this is their time to shine. This year’s competition features four categories:

• Cutest Dog
• Cutest Cat
• Cutest Buddies (two or more animals together)
• Cutest Exotic Animal

To enter, simply send a photo of your pet to president@waiatarua.org.nz. Entries close on 31 July 2025, so don’t miss your chance to be part of the fun! Voting will take place on both the Waiatarua Residents and Ratepayers Group on Facebook and our Waiatarua Instagram page, so make sure you’re following along to see all the entries and cast your votes. A heartfelt thank you goes to The Trusts, whose generous support makes this event possible each year. So dig out your favourite photo—or better yet, snap a new one—and send us your cutest companion.
