Auckland Transport (AT) is seeking public feedback on proposed changes for some West Auckland bus services. They are proposing to transform the bus network so you can use buses to travel to more places more often. The proposed changes aim to create more reliable and frequent bus services, they would like to hear your feedback.
While this does not directly affect Waiatarua there are changes that may be useful for some of our residents
Your committee sent this submission to the Draft Regional Park Management Plan
As an area of Auckland significantly impacted by the potential changes within the draft Regional Park Management Plan (RPMP) we have many concerns that we have outlined below. We are also extremely disappointed with the timing of this feedback, which feels rushed and disingenuous.
We have aimed to categorise our concerns as there are many, and in summary we believe this document is a long way from being acceptable to us and our residents, many of whom live within or on the fringes of the Waitakere Ranges Regional park.
This affects YOU !! Please make a submission
There are many issues and the Draft Plan is 509 pages of often confusing and sometimes conflicting proposals.
Local Board Member, Past Regional Parks Board Member and Piha local, Sandra Coney has prepared two documents to assist you in making your submissions. These documents condense 509 pages into 20 pages and are offered as a guide. The notes focus on the whole Waitakere Ranges parkland. They are NOT intended to influence any personal opinion(s) you may wish to express in your submission.
